Item #35649 Beds. Groucho MARX.

Beds. New York: Farrar and Rinehart, (1930).

Early Printing (without colophon at copyright page). Colorized still of Marx at dustjacket, illustrated with five photographs. Humorous collection of subtle bedroom tales. "A man will not hesitate, says Groucho, to tell you he made a four (without cheating, that is), on the tough seventh hole at Shandy Gaff; he will also tell you, the liar, about his cold shower in the morning. But let him walk into a room and remark, 'Folks, I want to tell you what happened in bed last night,' and immediately husbands begin polishing their revolvers; wives reach for their lipsticks and rubbers, and in a few minutes the place is a shambles." Uncommon. Very Good, some expected wear to boards at spine ends and cover corners, in nearly Very Good dustjacket, generally darkened, some shallow edge chips, nickel sized chip at lower front panel.

Price: $300.00
