The Devil in the Cheese. Tom CUSHING.

The Devil in the Cheese. New York: Samuel French. 1927.

First Edition. Three act play and fantastic comedy of Greek Bandits who capture an American family and a magical piece of cheese that allows the eater to see into other people's minds. The play opened at the Charles Hopkins Theatre in New York City starring Frederick March and Bela Lugosi. Illustrated with photographic scenes from the play including Lugosi, who would become a star for his performance in Dracula a year later. A uniquely well preserved copy, having obviously been carefully stowed away for the past eighty years. Fine in Fine dustjacket with spine just perceptively faded.

Price: $400.00
