Includes first printings of six early and very uncommon stories by Horatio Alger including: The King and Abbott, April 6, 1889 issue, (Very Good issue, center fold of front page with darkening to fore-edge area with splitting at same portion of fold), The Prima Donna, November 30, 1889 issue (Very Good bright issue), Dock Thieves, or Thomas Harland's Adventure, May 3, 1890 issue (Very Good, partial splitting to horizontal fold of front page), Two Boy's Fortunes in March 30, 1889 issue (Good with some loss of paper at vertical fold of top page edges. The Lottery Ticket, September 1, 1888 issue, (Very Good, partial splitting along horizontal fold of pages). The Miser Outwitted, December 15, 1888 issue. (Very Good, partial splitting at horizontal fold of pages). All issues with two folds, fragile cheap paper mellowed from age.
