Cline" who as the inscription states, started the author as a "cub reporter", presumably at the Kansas City Star where Shippey started. Novel about life in a small California town. Near Fine bright copy, mildly bumped at lower edge in Very Good plus dustjacket with modest shelf wear, the letter "T" in black marker at bottom of spine.
