The uncommon first printing of this 'lost' Shelley story to which the publisher provides the following note: This posthumous story by Mrs. Shelley has not before appeared in print. It was found among the unpublished papers of Leigh Hunt, and is authenticated by S. R. Townshend Mayer, Esq. Editor of St. James's Magazine, London. The story runs from page 12 to 23 in double columns and is thus rather substantial. Not to be reprinted within the next hundred years. The original now resides at the National Archives in the United Kingdom. A Very Good tight copy that has suffered some modest damp-staining along front spine edge, personal contemporary bookplate at front pastedown and spine sticker.
