Nightmare Alley. New York: Rinehart and Company, Inc., 1946.
First Edition. A. F. Arnold dustjacket art. Scarce macabre carnival themed thriller that served as the basis for the highly regarded 1947 'film noir' directed by Edmund Goulding and starring Coleen Gray and Joan Blondell. Attractive Very Good to Near Fine copy that had something sticky dripped between the front free endpaper and half-title causing some mild separation abrasions, in a Very Good plus dustjacket, with generally crisp edges, white lettering and rear panel with modest darkening and spotting.
