Extremely uncommon true first edition of this pre-Jazz Age classic romance of a young Irish woman who inherits an English estate and who must become a lady of class within three years. Basis for two silent era films, one directed by King Vidor and starring Laurette Taylor who portrayed Peg in the theatrical production. The title is best remembered for the 1933 talkie starring Marion Davies in one of her most beloved roles. Near Fine in Very Good plus dustjacket featuring Laurette Taylor at front panel, some modest soiling to white of panels, few small tiny edge chips.
