Play by prolific French dramatist best remembered for developing, with Eugene Scribe, the “well-made play”, which later became a derogatory term despite its usage as a model for play-writing. Very Good with some foxing, cover edges worn and corners well worn, light wear to leather at spine ends and edges, vintage bookplate at front inside cover.
