First Edition. Duodecimo, half leather with gilt spine bands, marbled boards. Author was a Congregationalist minister who was trained first as an engraver. His version of “Pilgrim’s Progress” was often reproduced as it was the first to be divided into chapters. Includes four plates. Very Good, lacks front free endpapers, includes some minor ink markings to text, very shallow wormholes, usual wear to boards. Welch 136.1; S&S 12238.
