Upon her release from prison she proceeds to get her revenge on those who set her up, careful to exact her punishment within the confines of the law. Basis for three black and white silent films as well as the 1939 talkie directed by Gustav Machaty and starring Ruth Hussey and Tom Neal. Near Fine, lower spine tip faded, contemporary pencil inscription at front endpaper, in Very Good dustjacket, few small chips at top spine end.
