Scarborough's uncommon first book (after a poetry collection published in 1912) Author best known for her novel, The Wind, which depicts the loneliness of small town life in Texas, she also wrote of folk culture, ghost stories, and women's life in the Midwest. Very Good, webbing showing at front hinge (but still firm), in Good dustjacket which is about a centimeter shorter than the book (likely published that way), tape along front flap and some other edges, general soiling.
