Poirot agrees to help her, meeting her husband. That evening, the actress is seen at a dinner with thirteen guests, which has an associated superstition. By the next morning Lord Edgware and another American actress are found murdered, each at their own homes. Poirot investigates. Basis for the 1934 Henry Edwards directed film for Real Art Productions. The film was the third to star Austin Trevor in the role of Poirot. A scarce Christie title. Near Fine bright copy in a nearly Very Good dustjacket with unfortunate square inch sized chip at upper front panel, some shallow edge chips and loss at top spine end.
