This copy with long inscription signed by Widdemer at front endpaper and then signed again at half title. Inscription reads: "Background Adirondacks - where I had not long been living, and which still excited me. The theme was the contrast of a group of the generation of young people of the twenties with a girl who was in a generation behind them". A pencil note at front pastedown states, signed June 12, 1954 and Jan, 4, 1955. Very Good, spine with vertical crease, in Very Good dustjacket.
