"When André Marceau, known midget-hater, was found in the middle of his newly-tamped croquet field, garroted by an infant, Scotland Yard’s first theory was that a midget had done the deed. After all, Marceau had advocated the violent strangulation of all Lilliputians years before." A Good copy, likely a former lending library volume, with signs of a removed bookplate at front endpaper, rear endpaper removed, some general soiling to cloth, boards exposed at lower book edge in dustjacket with strip of paper tape at top and lower (as well as spine and flap) edges of verso, else Very Good.
