Portfolio of original correspondence of Roger W. Babson. Most letters dated 1925 (although at least one is dated May 1929). Babson was an American entrepreneur, economist and business theorist. He is best remembered for founding Babson College. Here he asks leading capitalists of the day if they pray, as well as a few other religious themed questions for an article he is writing. The letters contain handwritten correspondence with signatures from well known Capitalist Leaders of Industry from the early part of the 20th century including Hammond, Cortelyou, Straus, Du Pont, Warburg, Baruch, Nichols, Captain Robert Dollar, Irving T. Bush, Clarence H. Mackay, Festus J. Wade, August Heckscher, Victor W. Lawson, E. M. Statler (answers only, no signature), Mortimer L. Schiff, John D. Ryan, B. C. Cobb, Hudson Maxim, Samuel Insull, John North Willys, Owen D. Young, Thomas W. Lamont, James Speyer, Robert Winsor, Guy E. Tripp, Minor C. Keith, George F. Baker and James H. Douglas.
