Oblong quarto measuring 11 x 7 inches. Album would originally have been string-tied - but string is no longer present; black leather over stiff paper boards. Contains 200+ gelatin silver black and white or sepia toned photographs measuring between 1 x 2.5 and 6 x 3.5 inches, some with captions. Cover and first page detached but present (first page contains no photos), several pages are semi detached; small chips and tears thus good with fine photographs. Many of the photos have small pencil date on front: 1924 and the album as a whole contains photos of that decade. Most of the photos are in the larger 6 x 3.5 format and are excellent examples of fashion, sports, automobiles and travel destination of the day. The photos capture the family and scenery in different seasons. Includes scenes of boating, golf, Lake Champlain, bi-planes, Washington D. C., and battleships; also 3 photos of an eclipse of the sun.
