Set of original sepia toned photographs mounted on heavy boards by unknown photographer; circa 1880 – 1890. Group of 5: Colorado (cir. 1880 ): 1. Two women with parasols, along with their male companion and a dog at Seven Falls, South Cheyenne Canyon, Colorado. Seven Falls became a popular tourist attraction when it opened in the early 1880s. 4 1⁄2” x 7 1⁄2” (in mounting 7”x11”) 2. 2 individual photographs of the “Gateway” of the Garden of the Gods”. 4 1⁄2” x 7 1⁄2” (in mounting 7”x11”) a. In one of the photos, a man in cycling clothing is shown standing in the foreground with a high-wheeled bicycle (which was enjoying a craze during the 1880’s),known in the United States as the Columbia "Ordinary" and in Great Britain as the “Penny Farthing” bicycle. b.
