Presumed First Edition. Original illustrated green wrappers, octavo, 172 pages. This copy very nicely inscribed and signed by De Lyon at title page to a “Bostonian of the agreeable and best type”. Very uncommon novel set on Blackwell’s Island Hospital (currently Roosevelt Island) and Newport. Included themes of alcoholism among the upper classes. Wright 3968. Good, firmly bound volume, some small chips at spine and front panel, chipped along top rear panel and with an inch of loss at lower rear fore-edge corner.
