Item #37332 The Case of the Lucky Legs. Erle Stanley GARDNER.

The Case of the Lucky Legs. New York: William Morrow and Co., 1934.

First Edition. Gardner's third Perry Mason mystery novel after The Case of the Velvet Claws and The Case of the Sulky Girl, both published in 1933. Perry Mason's popularity catapulted after this third installment and consequently later titles had greater printing runs. These first three novels, however, are virtually unavailable and especially so in bright condition. Lucky Legs served as the basis for the well-received 1935 black and white talking film directed by Archie Mayo and starring Warren William and Genevieve Tobin. Very Good, small area of discoloration to cloth at lower front cover, in dustjacket that is lacking the spine material, small chips at flap corners, modest edge wear.
