Autobiographical account of Peggy Hopkins Joyce, “American actress and celebrity, famed as much for her several [six] marriages to wealthy men, colorful divorces, scandalous affairs, her diamonds and generally lavish lifestyle as for her work on stage or screen.” Joyce debuted on Broadway in 1916, and played herself in a 1933 film, “International House.” Joyce was married to six men, considered herself a “connoisseur of husbands” (as worded on rear panel) and owned the Portuguese Diamond, one of the most expensive in the world. Scarce in dustjacket. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, some shallow chips and short closed tears.
