First Edition. Early romance novel written under the pen name of Kathryn Culver by Davis Dresser, who wrote the Mike Shayne mysteries under the pseudonym Brett Halliday. "For thirty days Janet moved as an equal among the wealth, fame, and beauty of the social world in the exotic setting of America's winter playground. Two thousand dollars for clothes! One hundred dollars a day for expenses! Janet knew the old saying: 'Them as has, gets.' And for thirty days Janet was going to be one of those 'as has'". Very scarce. A Good or Very Good copy, probably an ex-lending library copy with bookplate removed from rear endpaper, scotch tape shadows and remnants at covers and pastedowns, and vertical reading crease to spine, in dustjacket with fore-edge margin of flaps trimmed and vertical crease at spine, otherwise Very Good.
