Item #41278 It's Not Done. William Christian BULLITT.

It's Not Done. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Co., (1927).

Thirteenth Printing, July 1927 (originally published in March 1926). Novel of contemporary city life and a wealthy man who attempts to carry 'an ancestral standard of personal honor through the conflicts of love and affairs.' Bullitt was a well-known diplomat at the time who negotiated with Lenin at the Paris Peace Conference and later served as ambassador to the Soviet Union and France during World War Two. An oddly impossible book to find despite its many printings. Very Good, some moisture caused cloth discoloration at cover fore-edges, in Very Good dustjacket, some wrinkling at top spine area.
