Letter written by Sir. Wiliam Nicholson, dated April 10, 1900 with hand drawn sketch by the artist of a rider on horseback. The letter is written on 3 3/4 x 6 inch paper, two sheets, front and back. The first page of the letter is embossed with a stamp which reads: Chaucer's House Woodstock (referring to former home in Oxfordshire of Thomas Chaucer, son of the author Geoffrey Chaucer, and Speaker of the English House of Commons). this property was a private home in 1900.
