Fish Kelly finds a living in carrying out Lawyer's schemes and is a vassal used none too kindly by the domineering gentleman. How Fish sought freedom through marriage with the splendid Miss Macedonia Clinton, only to find that a father-in-law can be as grimly exacting as any poor, peace loving soul can imagine.
