First Edition. Author's first book and a moving love story. Basis for the George Hill film Min and Bill that featured Marie Dressler and Wallace Beery in their first pairing as a romantic duo. Dressler went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Min. The author herself had very close and direct ties to the Hollywood power players of the day. This title was pushed into publication and into a film by the author's close friends Marion Frances and Mary Pickford. The author also had a son by Director William DeMille who was raised by Cecil B. DeMille. Near Fine with mild age toning to endpapers in Very Good plus bright dustjacket with minor surface wear to spine and light edge wear to top front edge.
