First Edition Thus, by the author's own press. Original red cloth, black lettering, octavo. This copy with fabulous gift inscription by Seton at front free endpaper to Douglas A. Milward and dated 1943. The inscription includes an original drawing by Seton of a stick-figure Hitler being hung by the neck. Milward gifted the book with a letter tipped in to front pastedown that reads in part: "This book the first, last and only novel written by my good friend, well known naturalist, artist and author..." Very Good, without dustjacket.
