Mid-Western set romance novel of an easterner, a spoiled young woman, who inherits a land claim in western Kansas and who travels out west "with the intention of managing the estate herself - only to find that it has become a 'blow out' land. But on the edge of these acres and acres of sand she meets romance!" A contemporary newspaper advertisement for the novel pinned to the front free endpaper describes the book as a Kansas courtroom drama, in which a young woman is accused of being a thief. Not listed in Hubin but perhaps contains criminal elements. McCarter was a Topeka, Kansas resident for most of her life. Near Fine, pinhole to front free endpaper, in Very Good dustjacket, modest wear, few small edge chips, top spine end with fairly shallow chipping.
