A novel exploring the changing and subtle relations between men and women, particularly involving the swapping of traditional gendered roles of sexuality, and “the confused social attitude toward adultery or free sexual intercourse, and the effect of such irregular relations upon the younger members of a family group concerned.” Near Fine but for fading to spine and cover edges, in a Very Good dustjacket, spine and edges darkened with shallow wear to spine ends and flap corners, publisher's note pasted to front jacket panel reading “I strongly urge you / to read this work. / It is bound to be / known as one of / the big books of / the year / John Farrar.”.
