Item #21901 A Tenderfoot Bride. Clarice E. RICHARDS.
A Tenderfoot Bride

A Tenderfoot Bride. Garden City, New York: Doubleday, Page and Co., 1927.

Later printing, "Colorado Edition". Illustrated with photographs of cattle ranching scenes. "From an Eastern city to a large cattle ranch in Colorado went a young American and his wife. Mrs. Richards portrays the experiences of herself and her husband, schooled in the Eastern traditions, with a refreshing spontaneity. It is the day by day narrative of life on a typical cattle ranch, differing in one respect from other Western stories, namely, that it is true and thereby gains an additional interest while losing none of its thrills". This copy inscribed and signed by Richards at front free endpaper. A very rare western narrative from a woman's perspective. Very Good, top rear cover bumped, small stain at lower front panel, tiny hole affecting few pages at lower edge, in nearly Very Good dustjacket, top spine end chipped half inch deep, shallow edge chipping and wear.
