First Photoplay Edition, illustrated with scenes from the Paramount Picture starring Douglas MacLean and Edith Roberts. Biggers's most famous mystery novel of the Baldpate Inn served as the basis for several film adaptations. This is by far the more uncommon of the photoplays for this title. Near Fine in nearly Very Good dustjacket, few inch sized abrasion at rear panel, shallow loss at lower spine end, centimeter sized chips at lower front panel, top front panel with quarter sized chip and crayoned letter 'H'.
