A very early Stribling title and dashing adventure and comedy novel set in Venezuela "in the midst of a temporarily independent state ruled by a dictator" with characters including an American salesman, a bull-fighter and priest. Fantastic dustjacket art by Shepherd. Near Fine, but for ink signature at top of title page, in Very Good dustjacket, scotch tape along edges of verso, jacket slightly shorter than book, some modest wear and some mild edge chipping.
