First American fully-illustrated edition from the sheets of the first British edition. 8vo, original terra-cotta cloth (others are in green, but no priority) pictorially decorated in black and gilt. The front cover shows Master Zacharius raising the trap door in the floor of his workshop, and the spine shows the earthbound "madman" who had fallen out of the balloon in the story "A Drama in the Air." Brown end papers. In unusually nice condition with only very minor bumping at spine ends and front corners.
