First American edition of Kipling's classic title, in the very scarce 1st issue dust jacket. 8vo, original green cloth, with blind stamped and gilt decorations on front and rear covers and spine. Book is in very good condition with early owner's ink signature and date on ffep, end papers foxed. Dust jacket with very minor chips, stained on rear panel and with narrow 3 1/2 inch red stain on front panel. Very scarce in dust jacket.
