Cavalry involvement. The novel includes racial slurs and stereotyping, to the extent that the reader wonders what the author’s sympathies were, but in the end we see the Native Americans as real and complex human beings. Basis for the 1919 by Paramount Pictures film. Uncommon. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, some shallow edge chip and closed tears, some clear tape mends at verso.
