First Photoplay Edition, with plug for the Vitagraph Production 'Pampered Youth' at spine, front panel and front flap of jacket. This edition did not include stills from the film. Extremely scarce photoplay edition (not found in Davis: Photoplay Editions) of Tarkington's Pulitzer Prize novel, the second to win the prize after Ernest Poole's His Family in 1917. The black and white silent movie was directed by David Smith and starred Cullen Landis and Ben Alexander. Near Fine in attractive Very Good dustjacket, few small nicks.
