Presumed First Edition, no statement, as well as being something of a photoplay edition, with blurb at rear flap advertising Arden's earlier novel Sinners in Heaven as being produced by Paramount and stating that Enticement will be produced on the screen by Thomas H. Ince. First National Picture did indeed produce Ince's picture starring Mary Astor and Clive Brook in 1925. A novel that asks: 'Can a love endure that is confined to mental and spiritual sympathy'. Uncommon title. Near Fine in nearly Very Good dustjacket, shallow edge chips (including along front flap edge), some splitting at front spine edge, two inch closed tear at top front panel.
