This copy with postcard laid in with short inscription by Housman, dated June 6, 1928 and with address in Housman's hand. Charles Wilson, the addressee, must have been an autograph collector, as D. H. Lawrence is quoted in his letters as writing 'If you have time would you send me those two books that a nuisance of a fellow - Charles Wilson, Willington - sent me to sign'. Housman's autograph is uncommon. An attractive Very Good plus copy, with smallish bookplate at front pastedown, shadow at front endpaper from postcard.
