Collection of six short stories by 20th century British author, one of which, "The Letter," later became a play starring Gladys Cooper which premiered in London in 1927 and showed on Broadway later that year starring Katharine Cornell, adapted for film in 1929 and again in 1940. Very Good, but with some pencil reviews to margins, two newspaper shadows to mid pages, mildly bumped at front cover fore-edge, in nearly Very Good dustjacket, nickel sized chip at top spine end and at lower front panel, short closed tears at edges, modest shelf wear.
