A young man is reported dead during his military service, his love is forced to become betrothed to a rich farmer, when he returns alive drama ensues. 'The dramatic climax of the story is brought about through the treachery of a handsome and young Jewish girl, and the passionate jealousy of her own fiancee and of her people'. Very scarce in dustjacket. Near Fine, contemporary previous owner gift inscription at front endpaper, in Very Good dustjacket, chips at spine ends, couple of closed tears at edges of front panel.
