Item #601873 Red-Headed Woman. Katharine BRUSH.

Red-Headed Woman. New York: Farrar and Rinehart, (1931).

Early Printing (lacks publisher's colophon, "35th Thousand" plug at jacket). Brush's risqué novel of a red headed vamp who steels her boss from his wife served as the basis for the ever popular pre-code Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer black and white talking film directed by Jack Conway and featuring Jean Harlow and Chester Morris. The film solidified Harlow's career in Hollywood and was banned in England for its salacious content. Near Fine in attractive Near Fine dustjacket.
