First Edition. Small octavo, 1/4 leather, marbled boards. A very scarce theatrical play by Charles Rice based on Dumas's classic romance. No date, but circa 1850. The first play in the book is The Three Musketeers, running 66 pages, followed by 'The Acting National Drama' edited by Benjamin Webster (36 pages), Alice Grey by John T. Haines (53 pages), The Willow Copse by Bourcicault (64 pages, Used Up by Dion Bourcicault (30 pages). Near Fine binding, pages Very Good but some contemporary stage manager has inked the actor's names next to their characters on the 'cast of characters' page for Three Musketeers and some of the bound titles.
