Presumed First American Edition. Octavo, contemporary 3/4 leather signed binding by Bayntun Binder of Bath (also has stamp for Charles E. Lauriat Co. of Boston), raised spine bands, gilt work, marbled boards and endpapers. Although volume 54 of Dumas's works (as stated on spine) this is presumably the first American edition of this title. Attractive Near Fine volume, but shows wear to leather along front spine edge (a little touch of leather preserver would probably make it look flawless).
