Erskine writes from first hand experience using his own Columbia College as the setting for this novel. Before becoming a writer, Erskine served during the First World War as chairman of the Army Education Commission and received the Distinguished Service Medal. He also toured with the New York Symphony Orchestra as a piano soloist and became chairman of the administrative committee of the Juilliard School of Music. Great unsigned dustjacket art.
