First Edition. One of only two Bleiler titles by Gibbs, this novel telling the story of a woman who communicates with her deceased lover by use of a medium. Made into the 1929 black and white silent film directed by Louis J. Gasnier and starring Evelyn Brent and Neil Hamilton. Gibbs was best known for his earlier titles concerning the First World War, a war in which he served with the British Army as a major for the full length of the conflict. Fine bright copy, in Very Good plus dustjacket, small chip lower spine edge, some moderate rubbing.
