Berkeley Square. New York: Macmillan Co., 1929.

First Edition. Fantasy play missed by Bleiler of a man who travels back in time by assuming his grandfather's identity and who falls in love with a different girl. Basis for the 1933 black and white film directed by Frank Lloyd and starring Leslie Howard and Heather Angel. This copy nicely signed in a sweeping hand by Leslie Howard at front end paper. A tight copy with the first several pages having become something of a scrapbook for clippings about the play and film, including an original promotional pamphlet for the play tipped in at rear pastedown, in dustjacket with small chips at spine ends, shelf wear and less than an inch chip at top rear panel. Howard's signature is uncommon and especially rare in books.
